Fund Tracing
Transaction Actions
Every edge in the fund flow graph is automatically classified with an action type based on entity data. This helps investigators quickly understand what happened at each hop without reading raw transaction data.
| Action Type | Meaning | Detection |
|---|---|---|
| Action TypeEXCHANGE_DEPOSIT | MeaningFunds sent to a centralized exchange | DetectionRecipient entity = exchange |
| Action TypeEXCHANGE_WITHDRAW | MeaningFunds withdrawn from an exchange | DetectionSender entity = exchange |
| Action TypeMIXER | MeaningInteraction with a mixing service | DetectionEither party = mixer (Tornado Cash, etc.) |
| Action TypeBRIDGE | MeaningCross-chain bridge transfer | DetectionEntity name matches bridge protocols |
| Action TypeSWAP | MeaningDEX token swap | DetectionEntity name matches DEX routers (Uniswap, 1inch, etc.) |
| Action TypeDEFI | MeaningDeFi protocol interaction | DetectionEither party = DeFi entity |
| Action TypeTRANSFER | MeaningSimple wallet-to-wallet transfer (default) | DetectionNo entity match found |
Action types are computed server-side during fund tracing and stored on each edge. They power the Counterparty Exposure charts and help filter the flow graph. Available on Investigator and Agency plans.
Bridge Detection
When a trace reaches a known cross-chain bridge contract, ChainHint marks the node as cross-chain and stops the trace on the source chain. The bridge node is styled purple, and selecting it opens a Cross-Chain Bridge panel.
Detected Bridges
Each bridge node shows: Protocol name, Source chain, Target chain, and a CTA "Investigate on {chain} →" to follow funds across chains.

Supported Chains
